Why is there such a high rate of importation of agricultural products to the middle east? the region lacks the money to pay farmers to grow food for themselves the region has a serious lack of cultivable land they spend all their resources exporting oil that no labor is available for farming it's cheaper for them to buy food than to grow it themselves
