If you were to travel from north to south along australia's east coast, what would be the correct order of cities you would encounter?

If you were to travel from north to south along Australia's east coast, you would probably start your journey in the province of Queensland with the city of Cairns, then you'd encounter Townsville and Ville de Mackay.  After a long drive you'd approach Brisbane area, first getting to Sunshine Coast city, then Brisbane then Gold Coast city.  

Then you would enter the New South Wales province and would make your way to Newcastle and Sydney.  To complete your visit of the cities of the east coast of Australia, since next city (Melbourne) is on the south coast of that large country.
