What are the components of earths life support system

The components of earth's life support system are:

1) The atmosphere which is the layer of gases that surrounds a planet. According to NASA (National Air and Space Administration), Earth's atmosphere contains 0.93% Argon, 21% Oxygen, and 78% Nitrogen. It also contains .04% Carbon dioxide, as well as traces of methane, krypton, helium, hydrogen, and neon.

2) The hydrosphere is composed of all the water on Earth. It includes all surface water on the planet like rivers, oceans, and lakes, as well as all the water found under the ground, in the spaces in soil and sand and cracks and fractures in rocks.

The hydrosphere also includes the water vapor. Thus, we can say that Earth's hydrosphere comes in solid (like ice), liquid (like the river), and vapor forms.

3) The lithosphere

The upper mantle and the solid crust of the planet comprise its lithosphere.  Together, they form the hard outer layer of the planet.  The lithosphere is subdivided into massive slabs of irregularly-shaped rocks called tectonic plates or lithospheric plates.

4) The biosphere is the sum of all areas (land, air, and sea) on Earth where organisms live and survive. Thus, it overlaps the three other layers. It has 3 primary and complementary functions: development, support, and conservation.
