Two ways in which parents can improve/incourage equal power relations

I think that this question refers to gender equality. Then:

1) Parents can make sure that they never treat their children differently, for example by making the girls, and not boys, help in the kitchen.

2) Parents should address every case of inequality that the children observe, making it clear that it's not proper.
