My hero in my life is my mother. My mom is a single working mom who came from South Korea. She is dependable and solid. She is not abusive in any way. My mom gives great advice to grow up in life. She take cares of me unlike my dad. My connection with my mom hasn’t always been the best lately.
My mom and I were always close. I had a good relationship with her growing up. I use to eat out every weekend with her. I was there for her when she divorced my dad a couple years ago when they argue a lot. My mom are not close as use to be.
I always argue with her because I feel like she does not treat me right. I have a curfew and my mom is picky with the people I hangout with. We never agree on an agreement or anything because I feel like the rules are more strict since I have a car. I am never home because I always argue with her every night. I just want to be a normal teenager and hang out with my friends because when I go to college, I am rarely going to see my friends. Our relationship isn't as strong now that I am getting older, but I have to be more responsible.
I began to understand my mom more. I am almost 18, an adult and she will not take care of me in college. I will be on my own. I need to take care of myself and make the right decisions. This realization made me understand her point of view better My mom is my hero for trying to get me in the right path in life. She wants me to have a better future. She is pushing me to work hard in school, so I can go to a good college. I should choose my peers more carefully because hanging out with the wrong people could impact me in a bad way.
My mom extended a hand of friendship and openness that I eventually accepted. I understand now that my mom is a single working mother trying to raise a teenage daughter. It is very hard to raise a child all by yourself. I am expensive and I sometimes cause trouble even if I don’t mean to. I am just learning. She doesn’t have someone to help her out when she needs to except me. This is why she’s my hero. She’s dependable and takes care of me.
