The scorch trials what did rat man tell the gladers when explaining phase two of the trials

In the Scorch Trials, the rat man told the gladers that in Phase Two, 60 people were placed in the Maze where they were about to face trials that is called the Variables. Its purpose is to construct a blueprint rather than an experiment through analyzing and judging their responses. They need to survive to be rewarded with the knowledge that they have played a part in saving the human race and of course themselves. And to achieve the greatest breakthrough in the history of science and medicine.
