b. Determine the thesis of the material and then look for the topic sentences in each paragraph. These are going to show you the supporting reasons or components of the thesis. Then you can link the examples to the topic sentences.
c. Read the whole thing once, taking notes that you can bring for questions to your study group. The questions that your group doesn’t answer can be taken to the professor or instructor during the next class.
