2.A nswer the following question to according the text Education opens many doors. Choosing a career is a fundamental
decision, but not simple. There are people who know what they
want to be, but most don’t. Most people finish high school and still
don’t know what to study. According to a trend in recent years,
these are the careers most students applied for nationwide. Are
these careers among your options? The first is nursing, followed by
medicine, dentistry, business administration, architecture, law, civil
engineering, social communication, economics, clinical psychology,
environmental engineering, accounting and auditing, nursing
degree, commercial engineering, industrial engineering, veterinary
medicine, mechanical engineering, agronomic engineering and
social work. The most demanded careers in the technical and
technological institutes are automotive mechanical careers, systems
analysis, fashion design, and electricity. There is no minimum grade
to get into in public institutions. The score needed is proportional to the demand for seats for each career. So, the more students
throughout who want to study these careers, the higher the score
must be. Compare it to a marathon. Anyone can participate in a
marathon without training. However, they will not reach the goal or
be even close to winning. A student may apply with a 400-point mark
for medicine, but will not be in the quota because there will be so
many students who reach a higher score than that. For this reason,
it is important to get good scores on the final exams if you wish to
follow any universit

Read the quotation from "an occurrence at owl creek bridge." and now he became conscious of a new disturbance. striking through the thought of his dear ones was a sound which he could neither ignore nor understand, a sharp, distinct, metallic percussion like the stroke of a blacksmith’s hammer upon the anvil; it had the same ringing quality. he wondered what it was, and whether immeasurably distant or near by—it seemed both. its recurrence was regular, but as slow as the tolling of a death knell. he awaited each stroke with impatience and—he knew not why—apprehension. the intervals of silence grew progressively longer, the delays became maddening. with their greater infrequency the sounds increased in strength and sharpness. they hurt his ear like the thrust of a knife; he feared he would shriek. what he heard was the ticking of his watch. which best describes the effect of the narration in the excerpt? it suggests that the man being executed feels tranquil and at peace. it suggests that the narrator is sympathetic to the man being executed. it suggests that the plot will become less tense as the story continues. it suggests that the story will become more intense and mysterious.

Read sentence 13 from the draft. some plants retain a great deal of their foliage through much of the spring and summer, but the leaves do not retain their green color for long. which detail would be best to add after sentence 13 to develop the topic? a. since the green color of the leaves that are bright and abundant during the warmer months will disappear by the time it is fall, it is important that the leaves are trimmed and kept freshly cut so that they will last for as long as possible. b. while the temperature outside may dictate when the fall colors of leaves appear, it is only one of many environmental factors that play a part in the changing of colors from green leaves to fall-colored leaves during the cooler months. c. if people want to enjoy the green color of leaves longer, trees should be planted where the environment is warmer and the days longer because chlorophyll in the leaves can only be manufactured and replaced with sunlight and warmth. d. the green chlorophyll normally masks the fall-colored pigments during the warmer months, but as sunlight becomes less abundant and trees become frozen, the fall colors of leaves become more visible as chlorophyll disappears.
