  I enjoy Thanksgiving because of the significance it has for my family and me. My family gathered to bake on Thanksgiving since, unlike other families, we did not have turkey or chocolate, and our dogs were fed everything we ate. We make a point of including Lona, my puppy, in the dinner because she was born on Thanksgiving.

  My family had a Thanksgiving tradition in which everyone, even Lona, was remembered. Because Lona was not with us this time, my family did not partake in dessert, which is also the best part of the Thanksgiving dinner. What was even more unfortunate was that the dessert was dog-friendly, and she might have loved it.
