Faith in humanity essay

I believe that having faith in humanity is trusting that other people will do the right thing. To have faith in humanity is to trust yourself and the rest of civilization to make something of this world. To have faith in humanity is to put eternity in the cradled arms of billions of people whom very few have ever met.  Do we want to hurt each other because our opinions differ? Or because we don't believe in the same God? I believe that humanity does not have the capacity to solve the dilemmas that have been created. We only have the ability to use wisdom to prevent future struggles within generations of civilization.  

While I do not trust humanity to "fix" the world, I do have confidence that humanity will change its focus and set important precedents for generations to come. I believe that our generation should exchange its values of power and authority for values of equality and unity. I believe that we should exchange our values of money and wealth for values of pride for what a person has the ability to provide for the well-being of others who are less fortunate. We should shift our perspective from religion and spirituality to a matter of personal beliefs, rather than a number of certain religious and spiritual groups judging and rejecting each other. Humans will always disagree on some things. Be it entertainment, politics, religion, education, or anything else, everyone will have their own opinions and beliefs. I'm sure humanity will always have disagreements, but how humanity chooses to deal with these disagreements is what will affect our world the most.
