The number of people taking up the sport of running has increased significantly over the last 10 years. Sports experts give many reasons for the rise in the popularity of running. Creative racing opportunities are also a draw for new runners. For example, adventure runs offer participants a chance to run through mud or outdistance zombies. Basically, running offers a new way to have fun while sweating.
