Two Butterflies went out at Noon–
And waltzed above a Farm-
Then stepped straight through the
Firmament
And rested on a Beam-
And then-together bore away
Upon a shining Sea-
Though never yet, in any Port-
Their coming mentioned-be-
If spoken by the distant Bird
If met in Ether Sea
By Frigate, or by Merchantman-
No notice-was-to me
