I am writing a 150 word summary for a non-research essay i did. It was about bullying of obese kids. It talks about how bullying can affect obese kids. This is the summary i have already wrote. i was told that don't use backs up. Use words such as support(s), confirm(s), is in agreement with. Do a thesaurus for support and see if there are other words that fit. Can someone help me rewrite this summary as long as it is 150 words please. Below is the summary i wrote already. Iyonna Thompson give good insight to bullying of the obese kids. This backs up my argument essay by providing quotes on how obese kids and adults get bullied. Paragraph 1 backs up the first point in my argument essay. “Studies have documented that children who are overweight or obese are bullied, teased and socially excluded by their peers”. This shows that children being bullied are called names can lead to overweight and obese in the future. The next part of this article that backs up my thesis statement is in paragraph 5. The article states “studies consistently found that chronically bullied children were significantly more likely to be overweight in adolescence or in adulthood than non-bullied children. The article also states “young people who were obese at age four were found to have over 50% increased risk of being bullied in school at age six”. The last point that backs up my thesis statement is that being bullied makes obese people isolate from social activities. The article states also that “Specifically, overweight children who are teased, excluded from social activities or bullied in other ways can experience weight gain into adulthood”.
