Read "The Tortoise and the Hare." What do the characters remember about the story? In a paragraph of at least three sentences, choose either the Tortoise or the Hare and write a flashback that tells a portion of the story from that character's point of view. A Hare was one day making fun of a Tortoise for being so slow upon his feet. "Wait a bit," said the Tortoise; "I'll run a race with you, and I'll wager that I win." "Oh, well," replied the Hare, who was much amused at the idea, "let's try and see"; and it was soon agreed that the fox should set a course for them, and be the judge. When the time came both started off together, but the Hare was soon so far ahead that he thought he might as well have a rest: so down he lay and fell fast asleep. Meanwhile the Tortoise kept plodding on, and in time reached the goal. At last the Hare woke up with a start, and dashed on at his fastest, but only to find that the Tortoise had already won the race.

My teacher told me this was parallel plot technique not a flashback so can you help me write it as a flashback:

Hare: I enjoy mocking the Tortoise for being slow, and he was getting tired of it. So he said, "Let's race then, I'm bet I'll beat you." I consented, despite the fact it was obvious he couldn't beat me. So the race begun and I took off, the Tortoise is way behind and doesn't appear to have a chance to win. So I took a nap, assuming that when I awoke, he wouldn't be close and that I would definitely win no matter what. It's safe to say I put too much faith in my speed and ability because when I awoke, the Tortoise was so close to the finish line that before I was able to catch up he won the race, leaving everyone, including myself.
