White supremacist racism in America is systemic. Today, although the United States has abolished apartheid on the surface, the racism that guarantees white supremacy and priority has long been deeply ingrained in every aspect of political, economic and social life. One of the prime examples is the right to vote. For many minorities, such as African-americans living in Philadelphia's slums or Indians on the Navajo reservation, the rules are unfair and unequal. Some areas with large African-American populations had few polling places and closed early, while in some states, An Indian American citizen's ballot must have a white signature to count, and even with a qualified signature, that ballot could easily be nullified for other reasons.
