Emily is writing an essay on sun exposure for her science class and wants to use the last sentence in the following passage for her paper. While some exposure to sunlight can be enjoyable, too much can be dangerous. Overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun can result in a painful sunburn. It can also lead to more serious health problems, including skin cancer, premature aging of the skin, cataracts and other eye damage, and immune system suppression. Most people are not aware that skin cancer, while largely preventable, is the most common form of cancer in the United States.

According to MLA guidelines, what is the best way to use this sentence in her essay without plagiarizing?

A.
Use half of the sentence in the paper and add the source to Works Cited.
B.
Add the sentence to the passage exactly as it is and include the author's name in a citation.
C.
Put the sentence in quotation marks and include a citation in parentheses with the author's last name and the page number.
D.
Change the words "preventable" and "common" and cite the source in Works Cited.
