Stew was so angry; he could feel the red-hot rage bubble up in him like lava in a volcano. Of course, the police
officer interviewing him did not realize this. Stew was good
at hiding his rage. He kept it like an iceberg, barely showing
on the surface, but large and powerful underneath.
Which most likely explains why the author describes the character as both
