(sighed/coughed/choked) as he dumped his books on the canteen table once he found a clean table in the crowded canteen. It was recess time. He did not understand how he could have failed his exam. The words of his teacher, Ms. Lim rang in his head. “Can you just study hard for once? You had better pass the exam the next time!” Ms. Lim

(laughed/yawned/snapped).
Weiqiang decided to wait for his good friend, Rajen, who was from another class, before ordering some food. He caught sight of Rajen coming from afar. Rajen did not walk; he skipped!
“Someone is obviously in a good mood,” Weiqiang

(whispered/commented/cried) when he arrived at the table.
“I finally passed my exam!” Rajen
answer
(exclaimed/demanded/pleaded) excitedly.
“Oh, man! How did you do it?” Weiqiang
(yawned/asked/suggested).
“I will tell you about my study plan later. Let’s get our favourite bento box first!” The two boys rushed to join the queue at the Japanese stall. Regardless of the ups and downs in school life, eating their favourite food with a good friend always made life a lot easier to deal with.
