Underline all of the verbs in the following paragraph once and all of the subjects twice. Circle any prepositions and underline their objects. Put brackets around prepositional
phrases and cross them out. Cross out any infinitives. Circle any gerunds, and put a wavy
line under any adverbs and adjectives you might find.
Around this time last year we went to the Florida Keys. Swimming is my favorite hobby, so when the water felt warm I was really excited. Most of the days went by fast so I liked to eat breakfast early so I would be on the beach before everyone else. The sky wasn’t always blue but I really enjoyed my time there.
