I recently flew from Phoenix to Chicago on Lit Airlines, whose ridiculous slogan is "Leave the Boredom on the Ground." The flight staff had clearly been instructed to present
themselves as comical with a capital C. They sang; they danced; they even passed a roll
of toilet paper down the aisles. The forced glee was as stale as the air circulating within
the cramped cabin. Faced with this foolishness, I felt like I was being treated like a three-
year-old at a birthday party.
And yet, I've already booked my next flight. Not, ahem, for the "fun," but for everything
else. The plane was new, with working Wi-Fi and free headphones. The snacks were
good. And the price? You can't beat it.
If only they could leave the gimmicks at home. And maybe hire a new slogan writer while
they're at it
which sentence best summarizes the author's position?
Lit Airlines' in-flight entertainment makes up for the airline's expensive flights
and poor service.
Other airlines should follow Lit Airlines' lead and train their staff to entertain
passengers.
Lit Airlines' efforts at fun are annoying, but the excellent price and perks
overshadow this
Lit Airlines may be cheap and convenient, but the flight is so unenjoyable that
It's not worth it.
