In addition, some students feel more comfortable sharing or participating in a smaller group than in a bigger one. On the other hand, having one large combined class would have benefits, too. It would ensure that the entire sixth grade is learning the same material at the same pace. Also, this large class would be able to rely on the skills and expertise of two teachers, rather than just one.
