Create a short myth story: • 150 words minimum!

• Must have an exposition that clearly show the setting, character and beginning conflict that will drive the story.

•Falling Action
•And Resolution

• Descriptions that appeal to the senses and set the dispersed mood of the story.

• “What is the message it theme will the reader draw form your story?”

He nods and we sit on the ground to eat for a good hour.

After we eat we start walking on the trail path to try and see if we see any type of suitable house or place to sleep. As we are walking I notice how quiet it is. Usually in the woods you would hear birds or at least some type of life form but I currently hear nothing of the sort. A question finally comes to mind and I turn to Lapis

“Do you remember how we ended up in the woods?”

He nods his head and says “Dad brought us here after running away from the house.”

I look at him confused and he says “Dad said to stay here and that he would be back.”

I nod my head in understanding and start wondering where my dad is if we didn’t see him. I guess he is okay then.  After walking for maybe 2 hours, we decided to take a break.

I turn to my brother “How is your wrist?”

He says “Doesn’t hurt as much as it did before you wrapped it.”

I nod my head in approval and jump when I hear footsteps. “Lapis get behind me right now.”

He scrambles behind me and I shout

“Whoever it is Come out, this isn’t funny!” I see a familiar shadow and realize it is my dad. Lapis runs to him screaming

“DAD!.”

So many questions are running through my head like number one why did he leave us in the first place?. Second, where did he go? And third where is mom?.

“Dad, I love that your back but where is mom and why did you leave?’

He tenses up when I ask this and says

“I left to try and find your mom. Good news is I found her with the rest of the family but bad news is the cabin is about a 3 hour walk from here.” I nod in understanding and start getting up. As we are walking I notice that my dad has this distant look and sort of not himself.

I turn to him and say “You okay?.”

He turns to me and nods but still not completely there. After three long hours we finally come up to a small cabin that seems a little torn apart but still standing and safe.

We enter the house and I instantly see my mom and run to her.

“MOM!” I hug her and she hugs me, clearly shocked at my arrival.

I look around and see my siblings sitting on the cold hardwood ground with bandages on their bodies. I go to give them a group hug and I get pulled down. For the first time since I woke up, I laugh and it feels good.

I look up at my dad and say “Since when did we have a cabin?”

He turns to my mom and says “Since you guys were born, we never came here because it was only for emergencies.” I nod in understanding and lay down finally resting from this...

Terrible disaster.

the irony is that the name has ''fortunate'' in it, but the kid named fortunato is not fortunate to be named that.
