Read the passage The girls walked quietly past the house on the corner hoping that Uncle Raymond would not notice them. The cousins had promised to help
Uncle Raymond clean up his yard after school, but they had forgotten and gone to a club meeting instead. They remembered only when they
stepped out of the building with the rest of the robotics club and saw the neat piles of leaves that now lined Uncle Raymond's yard across the street
from the school. They felt bad that he had done all the work himself and knew that he would be very displeased that they hadn't helped him when
they said they would. The cousins wanted to get home without an unpleasant scene. Most of all, they wanted to avoid a talk with Uncle Raymond.
Based on the events in the passage, which word would best replace the word "talk" in the last sentence?
O 1. debate
2. dialogue
O 3. conversation
O 4. confrontation
