I feel a slight tickle in my right bicep and I glance down at my arm. Half protruding from my muscle is a white grub, the kind you'd find under your grass. A bit of pus and blood surround its hole, as you'd imagine. I shudder and pull it out with my left hand; it comes out very easily. I start to pinch the area around where it had burrowed into flesh, trying to work the infectious fluids out. But I'm interrupted by another tickle in my left arm, in the inside crook of my elbow. I look down to see a glistening, concave lens looking back at me. It's shaped like an eye but without any depth. It's a smooth, even, jet-black eyeball and socket embedded in my joint. I'm disgusted and I grip the inside of my left elbow with the thumb and forefingers of my right hand, preparing to tear away half of my arm just to get rid of it.
