to think of some way to stall him.
Passage 2:
"You laughed so hard while riding that coaster!" Alex chuckled as we
exited the ride.
"I couldn't help but laugh. It was awesome!" I smiled and swallowed
hard. Matqueasy stomach threatened to reveal my fake courage.
"Ready to conquer the next one? It has three loop-de-loops." Alex
pumped his fist in the air. My stomach churned at the thought of loop-
de-loops.
"Of course, but I'm thirsty. How about we stop to get a drink, O. K.?"|
had to keep my secret, and the only way was to stall for some recovery
