The ocean is divided into five layers, or zones. Beginning in the second zone, light gradually ceases to exist as the water gets deeper, like a shade being pulled down on a window. Yet, even with this lack of light, the sea animals have adapted to their
surroundings. For example, the eyes on fish living in the second layer, or the Mesopelagic Zone, tend to be larger and directed
upward to help them see outlines of other sea animals in their search for food.
Based on the context, what does the phrase "like a shade being pulled down on a window suggest?
OA
The amount of light in the different zones of the ocean depends on how much light is let in from the window at the top
zone.
OB. Light gradually increases as the water gets deeper in the ocean.
OC.
The light from above disappears little by little as the water gets deeper.
OD
There is a shade on the second layer of the ocean that blocks the light from above and makes it difficult for fish to see.
