People come up to me asking what race I am, what my sexuality is, or what religion I am when, in my mind, I think who cares what I am. Think about people who lose their lives because of skin color or people who lose their path of life. You see it all around you. On the streets, in stores, or anywhere you go. I was looking for the right word to describe what I see, and I finally found it. Discrimination is the word. Discrimination occurs when an individual faces unfair treatment because of the prejudices directed toward a group to which that individual belongs. It made me realize that this needs to stop. Treat everyone with respect and judge them based on their personality and not appearance because, in the end, were all the same.
