Write a sequel to an existing fairy tale. What happens after “And they lived happily ever after”?
Rewrite a fairy tale so that the traditional “victim” rescues the traditional “rescuer.”
Write a “hybrid” fairy tale. For example: Combine a couple of characters from differing fairy tales. What would happen if the three little pigs—not the prince— had rescued Snow White or Sleeping Beauty?

Ugly Duckling - In the ugly ducking’s point of view, the ugly duckling is never loved and is always picked on by is brothers and sisters for how ugly he is. Though the ugly duckling is very kind and never did any harm to his brother and sisters. The ugly ducklings brothers and sisters shouldn’t pick on him just because he is ugly.
