In communication, the recipient is the person who is receiving the message being transmitted. In other words, this is what we know as the "audience." These are the people who are responsible for taking in the message, analyzing it and reflecting on it. Therefore, the factors that would be concerned with the message's audience is the receiver factors, as these are the ones that deal with the recipients of a message.

in my opinion i think it was not excessive at all. the maids turned against the queen in his absence, how could he ever trust them again? if he let them go they would surely spread the news of the suitor's deaths, which is much too risky. as for the suitors, they were selfish, rude, and greedy. the god's had apparently marked them for death, meaning odysseus made their death come faster.
