looking closely at three forms of fiction: the short story, the novella, and the novel. each of these forms has distinct characteristics as well as certain advantages and disadvantages for the writer and the reader. what do you see as the advantages and disadvantages of these three different types of fiction?

Advantages

In some ways, a first person narrator can more easily "release or dump" info on the reader.
A start writer mostly finds it easier to keep consistent tone, style, and prose when writing in first person.
First person narratives also have a much more easy  time garnering empathy from your reading audience, since they end up spending  time in your character's brain.

Disadvantages
Perspective and perceptions are highly limited.
Describing the protagonist more clear (otherwise honestly and objectively) is very difficult, and usually will require  tacky tricks (like looking into a mirror).
Many authors also discount this, but I think it's more important
