did you ever give a big dog a bath? it's a challenging activity. first, you have to get the dog into the tub. say, "get in! " then say, " get in," but don't whine. (dogs hate that.) then throw a bunch of dog treats into the tub, and an easily bribed dog will get in. next, soak the dog's coat with water and add shampoo. work up a lather, but watch out if the dog suddenly becomes very still. that means he's going to shake himself and cover you with lather, too.
