"Akeelah" - "Transformation

In the movie, "Akeelah and the Bee", the protagonist, Akeelah, is an excellent speller. She
has a coach, Dr. Larabee who has high expectations of her. He shows her a quote from W. E.B
DuBois, "Transformation", and asks her to read it. Akeelah does and has to recite (say) its
meaning.

(1) fire extended humans’ geographical boundaries by allowing them to travel into regions that were previously too cold to explore. (4) other obvious benefits of fire are its uses in cooking and in hunting.
