to help NASA researchers understand what happens to
the human body when it leaves Earth pillownauts willingly
take part in studies, despite the discomfort and changes to

work will one day help astronauts travel as far as Mars.
Thanks to the information collected in the study of
pillownauts, the agency has solved some of the negative
effects of weightlessness on bodies. NASA installed
exercise equipment on the International Space Station
