I just finished my poem that i've been working on for a very long time, and i would like to show it u you guys.:) The dead and the dying

The dead and the dying.
That's the fate of every last man on this beach,
We’re all going to die without getting our chance of revenge.
Walking through the fields with hope.
Hoping for nobody to notice me,
Nor make any extra sound or noise.
Watching bullets strike one by one to the bloody sand,
Not having enough time to call for a medic.

I didn’t flinch, nor cried.
I’ve seen this too many times today.
How long have i been sitting here with my back against the seawall,
Listlessly watching the living nightmare on Omaha Beach.
I tried to think.
The sun was high in the cloudy sky now.
There were hundreds of fallen, lifeless soldiers in the short distance,
Between the wall and the sea.

I was too tired, to react to soldiers falling being shot,
Crying for medics. I Couldn't help them anyways.
Nothing really mattered now, for my best friend was dead.
We’re all going to die here and there’s nothing any of us could do about it.
We’re all gonna die here without getting our chance for revenge.
The wet sand twisted under my boots as I ran.
Invisible bullets and mortars that dropped out of the sky,
Hearing soldiers cry MEDIC, MEDIC, MEDIC then stop.
What was this all for?
The dead and the dying.
