Read the summary. What is this topic about? Use your own words. For several years, scientists have stated that the Earth is growing warmer. Many scientists agree that human activities impact climate change. Some climatologists believe temperature changes will cause more frequent heatwaves, droughts, wildfires, and other extreme weather events. They point to global warming as the cause of the polar ice caps melting. Scientists think that the things people do that send greenhouse gases into the air are making the planet warmer and contribute to global warming.

Others believe temperature changes are caused by normal weather patterns and are not affected by human activities. Every year the United Nations holds a climate change conference in a different country to discuss global warming.
