Mathematics seems a very practical topic to many, but I love it because it helps us understand concepts beyond our cognitive abilities. Similarly, science is a topic that can answer some of our deepest questions about life, but at the same time, leave even deeper questions behind. As our understanding of life, the universe and everything expands we realise that there is even more we don't understand. That unlimited potential is exciting... that's why I find science so amazing. Human physiology and astronomy are my greatest interests, and I want to broaden my range of knowledge about them as much as I can. With the goal of going into medical school and becoming a well-respected pulmonologist, I understand the importance of getting as much experience and knowledge as I can early on in my education. That is why I've participated in many science and math programs such as, BCA Biology, Chemistry, and Algebra 2 Programs, the MathCon, and Advanced and Honors Maths and Sciences throughout middle school and high school. With the same love, passion and dedication, I look forward to attending and learning the most I can at the Columbia University Science Honors Program.
