I have been able to point out the sentences that are complex (CX) and the ones that are compound (CD).

Complex sentences are known to be sentences that contain one independent clause and at least one dependent clause. The numbers having CX are those of the complex sentences. One will discover that the parts of the dependent clauses in the CX sentences do not give a complete thought.

While  Compound sentences are sentences that contain at least two independent clauses. These independent clauses in the sentences give complete thought.
