Not too many people knew that Ms. Salvez had once been a nurse, but we were really glad to find it out. When Mike fell off his skateboard, he got scrapes and scratches on his arms and legs and a big bump on his head. Ms. Salvez knew just what to do, though. She washed the scrapes and scratches and then put bandages on some of them. She put a cold compress on Mike's head. By noon the following day Mike was riding his skateboard again.
