Some effective steps to successful time management are having a daily schedule. Once this is followed for a prolonged period of time, it will become routine, and one will not need to look at it anymore.

Another effective step to time management is having a calendar or to do list, whether it be electronic or paper. It can give you a sense of deadlines, so procrastination doesn't seem as appealing. It keeps you motivated knowing the next thing is coming.

However, don't overwork yourself into oblivion. Taking breaks when working is good for refreshing the mind. It increases productivity, so you can come back to work better than ever.
