Dear Friend,

It's been three months since you left, but to me it feels a lot longer. I miss seeing you every day and your sense of humor that always made me laugh even when I was feeling down. Also our hikes and bike rides along the beach are just not the same without you.

I know we had promised to facetime every day, but the time difference has made that promise difficult to keep. I enjoy seeing the pictures of your new school and the beautiful scenery that surrounds you.  

Nothing here has changed and my parents send their love. I can't wait to see you when you come home for Christmas vacation.

I'm so proud of you for fulfilling your dream to study abroad and I know you get homesick sometimes, but know that I'm just a phone call away. So have fun and I'll see you when you come home.
