Based on what you have learned so far, compose a job application letter. Be sure to include: The address and name of the company to which you are applying.
The date you are writing the letter.
An introduction (the job opening and how you found out about it)
A paragraph of why you are qualified for this job (education/classes/degrees/certific ations/experience)
A summary paragraph suggesting a follow up and your contact information.
Proofread to make sure there are no spelling, grammar, or other errors.
Following the guidelines presented on writing cover letters, and using the sample letter that James Tully wrote to Tina Davies, compose a résumé and then write a cover letter for a job—real or imaginary—that you would like to have. Remember to state a few significant facts about yourself and your work experience in the cover letter, and refer the reader of your cover letter to your enclosed résumé.
