Who knows this song because some of these lyrics are how I feel Long as I remember I've always hated myself
Never felt that warm feeling inside, I'm something else
Stay addicted to the things that kill the time, I'm fake alive
'Cause if I turn off the video games, I'll face my mind

Never knew my father thinking, wonder if I'm even like him?
Don't relate to anybody, fearing for my life, skim
Deeper into darkness, thoughts consuming, chest is tight
Maybe if I take my life, I'll be alright? Thought this every night

Wake up every morning, never want to leave the bed
Got some solid family round me but I feel alone, I'm dead
To my own emotions, will I ever get away from this?
Joined the military, but I still couldn't find a fit!

Found some happiness inside a cigarette and empty bottle
If I ever make it out, I won the lotto, how'd I get so hollow?
Went to therapy the pills don't change it, guess I'm through
Then she sat down right beside me and whispered it
"I believe in you"

That was the first time that I felt it crawl inside
A butterfly warming everything it flied, let it be my guide
Woman sitting next to me would surely be my wife
Understands me, never felt this in my life
Please don't leave it's nice

Now it's 3 years later, been married for almost 2
I never thought that existence, could be so filtered from blue
It may have taken 27 years, but I'm finally whole
I really truly love this woman with all my heart and soul

Pouring everything into my music, try to spread the light
If you're hearing this, I pray that you continue on the fight!
'Cause the sunrise comes at random
But it outweighs all the night!

I could never say that everything's alright
But you're not alone!

Found some happiness inside my heart and ditched the bottle
Can't believe I made it out, I won the lotto!
Used to feel so hollow...
Come and take my hand we're almost there
You'll make it through!
Someday you'll have someone in your corner saying
"I believe in you"

(I believe in you)
It's so hard
So hard for so long (so long)
And I know (and I know)
It's so hard
So hard for so long
For so long
But you can make it through!

Talk about it
Let them help you please just talk about it
Talk about it
You can make it, come and talk about it
Talk about it
There's no shame in what's inside
So much beauty in the darkness come alive
Sing it with me, let me
Talk about it
Let them help you please just talk about it
Talk about it
You can make it, come and talk about it
Talk about it
There's no shame in what's inside
So much beauty in the darkness come alive
Watch us come alive...

Select the contred text in the passage which sentence in this excerpt from john galsworthy's narrative essay "gone" reflects his view that there is no afterlife? an old woman and mrs. herd's sister were in the sitting-room, they showed us to the crazy, narrow stairway. though we lived distant but four hundred yards of a crows flight, we had never seen mrs. herd before, for that is the way of things in this land of minding one's own business a slight dark girlish-looking woman, almost quite refined away, and with those eyes of the dying, where the spirit is coming through, as it only does when it knows that al is over except just the passing. she lay in a double bed with clean white sheets. a white-washed room, so low that the ceiling almost touched our heads, some flowers in a bow, the small lattice window open. though it was hot in there, it was better far than the rooms of most families in towns, living on a wage of twice as much, for here was no sign of defeat in decency or cleanliness. in her face, as in poor herd's, was that same strange minging of resigned despair and almost eager appeal, so terrible to disappoint. yet, trying not to disappoint it, one felt guilty of treachery: what was the good, the kindness in making this poor bird flutter still with hope against the bars, when fast prison had so surely closed in round her? but what else could we do? we could not give her those glib assurances that naive souls make so easily to others concerning their after state. and the night was so beautiful, so utterly glamourously beautiful, with its star-flowers, and its silence and its trees clothed in moonlight. all was tranquil as a dream of sleep. but it was long before our hearts wandering with poor herd, would let us remember that she had slipped away into so beautiful a dream
