Do the first two paragraphs look good? Due really soon According to the Greek myth we read, Hippolyta and Theseus had a complicated relationship. After watching two different plays about Midsummer Night’s Dream, there’s evidence that the Globe version is way better than the Hoffman version. The characters’ facial expressions, body language, and tone of their voices are evidence as to why this is.

Firstly, in the Globe version, their facial expressions portray the emotion of what they are saying. At the beginning of Act 1, Scene 1, in the Hoffman version, Hippolyta looks unsure about kissing Theseus at first when he leans in but then chooses to lean in and kiss Theseus before they are interrupted. From the Greek Myth we read, she shouldn’t be affectionate with him especially after he kidnapped her, she should be angry with him or at least look like she’s angry. However, in the Globe version, Hippolyta is visibly upset with Theseus by the look on her face. She has mixed facial expressions; angry, sad, and frustrated. These are the exact emotions that she should be feeling at this moment. Using this evidence, the Globe version is probably the best version of the Midsummer Night’s Dream.
