S, I have a funny problem. The thing is that I started writing this pretty badish "halloween" story and now I can't think of an ending. I feel like I kind of cornered myself up or something. Anyways the story's down here:
Camren trudged slowly through the wet, slippery pile of leaves on the sidewalk. Her shoes were drenched in the slimy and smelly mud and the chilly rainwater ran down her face, making her shiver. She hugged her arms around herself, squinted through the rain, adjusted her backpack, and took off again faster toward home. She wiped a hand across her face sighing, and suddenly froze. She felt a trickle of fear climb up her back. She whipped around looking, searching. Finding nothing out of the ordinary, Camren shakily begun to tread her way back home. All of the sudden, her foot slipped on the slippery leaves, and she fell down onto her knees. She cried out in alarm and looked up, gasping when she saw a man steadily making his way toward her. She stayed in the pile of leaves, open-mouthed and frozen in terror. Inside her mind, she couldn’t quite realize what she found so creepy about the man, but he had her petrified on the ground. He walked past, a ghastly color, spreading a air of chill and frost all around. She trembled as he passed, fearing his snipping and biting expression, frozen onto to him as if it was against him own will. When he finally disappeared from her view, Camren lifted herself from the ground still tense with fear. She tried her best to clean herself up a little; her pants and shirt were coated with mud and her hair was tangled with leaves. After she brushed off as much as she could, Camren grabbed her backpack and was just about to start on her path… She gulped. The path was gone! She spun around frantically, close to tears. All around were trees and leaves, and if there even was a path, it was too dark to see. Camren collapsed on the forest floor, crying. All at once, she heard a crackle of leave and she felt like she would rather die than see who it was. She squeezed her eyes shut and all fell calm. Camren peeked an eye open. There stood the same man, his face still frozen onto him like a mask. He reached toward her and she screamed. He immediately reeled back. Camren was shocked! Was he real? Was he a….a human? She got flung back to reality when he spoke. "It’s alright, come with me." She clutched her head, the voice echoing in her skull. He started to reach toward her again, and before she could get over the fact that he literally telepathically talked to her, he grabbed her wrist. She struggled and fought against the iron grip, but it was no use. "Do not struggle. I do not wish to harm you Camren." Her head pounded with those words and she gasped for breath. He led her deep through the forest, and his face changed not one bit the whole time. Finally he stopped. "Here we are. Pick wisely Camren, pick wisely." And with those final words, he disappeared. She looked in front of her, and saw that he had led her to a small clearing. She stood there, unsure of what to do. She knew she should be calling for help, running away, having a heart attack, but something told her it would do her no good. As she stood there, she felt something brush her shoulder. She screamed and held her bag in front of her. When nothing happened, she slowly lowered the bag.

And so I just need some idea's for an ending. Thanks!

Read the following excerpt from "dark tower" by claude mckay before you choose your answer. "we shall not always plant while others reap the golden increment of bursting fruit, nor always countenance, abject and mute, that lesser men should hold their brothers cheap; not everlastingly while others sleep shall we beguile their limbs with mellow flute, not always bend to some more subtle brute. we were not made eternally to weep. the night, whose sable breast relieves the stark, white stars, is no less lovely being dark; and there are buds that cannot bloom at all in light, but crumple, piteous, and fall. so in the dark we hid the heart that bleeds, and wait, and tend our agonizing needs." in context, the expression "the night, whose sable breast relieves the stark,/ white stars, is no less lovely being dark; " is best interpreted as a. the light of the stars overpowers the black of night b. the black of night overpowers the light of the stars c. black and white contribute equally to the beauty of the night sky d. black and white continuously compete for prominence in the night sky
