Can someone check if i did this right? its an essay on lion intelligence How smart are lions? How can we tell?
Even though lions are far from being as smart as the average human, they are still one of the most intelligent of their species. This is because Lions are predators by instinct and are naturally smart, as this is needed to hunt down their prey, but of course a lion is much smarter than any average animal.

The only animal that can contest with a Lion’s smarts, is a Tiger. Although the Tiger has a larger brain, and body but that does not make then any smarter than a Lion. There is no hard evidence that one is smarter than the other but Tigers, compared to a dog, have a higher IQ and is much smarter than any average dog. Although knowing that a Tiger has the same intelligence as a Lion, it can be concluded that a Tiger is still a very smart animal among their species.

Lions are very keen. Lions have figured out how to recognize men carrying firearms and men who are not carrying a firearm due to the intense smell of gunpowder, or black powder. If a lion smells either of these, it will attempt to avoid the smell, however on the opposite side that it does not smell black powder it might assault a man, if it is sufficiently eager. Male lions are generally singular creatures though except they are the leader of a pride. However, youthful male lions at times chase together and threaten their general area, since they have a much larger possibility of progress. At the point when this occurs, they were normally part of a similar litter. This is generally new conduct in lions and demonstrates that they can adjust to changing coanditions.

One average test given to lions to test their IQ would preform as so, A lion is shown a hanging box with beef in it for a nice snack, although the lion must pull a rope to put the box on the ground to eat. The IQ test was dubbed “The Rope Challenge” This is to test a Lion’s understanding and memory. To further push the test, twelve lions were held captive at Florida's Lion Country Safari and were shown “The Rope Challenge”, to test their average intelligence. Eleven Lions passed the test. Seven Lions passed the test on their own, while four Lions spectated the other lions before completing the test. This shows that Lions are capable of solving problems and learning, which is necessary to test an animal or human’s IQ.
