The following are the rules of connection given in the previous lesson, "Understanding Relationships": These are the rules
1. Without event A, event B would not have come about.
2. Whenever there is A, B will follow.

Using the above rules which establish the logic of cause/effect, find at least two examples of cause/effect in a newspaper, magazine, or book. Report your findings in a brief essay of at least 200 words, following the instructions given below.
(a) summarize the events of each cause/effect relationship you have found
(b) explain how each example follows the logic of the rules of connection.
(c) determine which events are incidental (non-causative) and which are necessary (causative).
