“Maybe there is a beast….What I mean is…maybe it’s only us.” This is a quote from Chapter 5 that shows Simon thinks that if there is indeed a beast on the island that it may just be the humans themselves. What evidence is there in the novel to suggest that Simon was right? Make sure you include a strong introductory sentence and a strong concluding sentence with your response.
