American History: Choose a person from the early years of America (prior to 1800), who intrigues you. Research that person. Then write a letter from your person's point of view explaining your actions, beliefs, hopes, and future plans. In other words, this letter should be written as if your chosen person wrote it. It should contain specific details about the events during this person's time. It may be addressed to a specific person or it may an open letter to the American people. The only limitation is your imagination!

The person I chose was William Bradford.

Explanation:

Dear Americans.

I write this letter to you from the past, I will probably be dead and my remains have already been completely swallowed up by the earth and transformed into other forms of life. However, I was present in the formation of the country that you call home and I would like to tell you about that time.

It was very difficult, but we won. That's how I can sum up everything we've been through. We had to deal with the cold, the infertility of the land, the lack of food, of adequate houses and the fear of never being able to reach our goals.

My reasons for writing this letter are to show how important resilience is in life, as well as hard work and persistence. If we hadn't persisted, you wouldn't be here.

I believe that in the future, you must be facing other types of challenges and problems, but if we at the beginning of America won without any resources, you who are already well established can also win.

These are the words of an ancestral old man who wants to continue participating in American life.
