First, is being kind which is a quality of being a great friend. Being kind makes you a good friend because a kind friend is one that helps you and comforts you. Nobody wants to have a mean or malicious friend. Having a friend that is unkind can bring you down and make you feel as if you are not good enough. Being a kind person can strengthen friendships. For example if you compliment their outfit, your friends would say thank you and you can talk about school or what they are doing over the weekend. Therefore being kind is a quality needed to be a good friend.
