1.)In World War I, Nick Carraway fought and now lives on the lower-class side of New York, aka West Egg. Related to his calm nature, Nick's home is more reserved and not at all flashy.

2.)Nick discovers the East and its subsequent lifestyle to be contemptible and deficient in credibility after his encounters with Gatsby. Old Money and New Money stand for East Egg and West Egg. The "real" aristocrats are living in East Egg: those with older cash and proven credentials.

3.)Nick believes that Daisy should leave Tom, considering the state of their marriage, but it is obvious to him that she has no intention of doing so.

4.)Gatsby is standing at the end of his dock at the end of the novel, arms open shaking, and seems to be looking at a green light.
